Partly Cloudy to Cloudy Skies Expected Across Philippines

Isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms forecast nationwide, with potential for flash floods.

PAGASA reported at 4 AM today, May 29, 2026, that Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. These conditions are attributed to localized thunderstorms.

At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm “DOMENG” {JANGMI} was estimated based on all available data at 1,360 km East of Southeastern Luzon (14.8°N 134.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 90 km/h. It is moving Northwestward at 20 km/h.

The weather bureau warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Residents are advised to take precautions, especially in low-lying areas and near mountain slopes.

For La Union and the rest of Luzon, winds will be light to moderate, blowing from the northwest to west. Coastal waters are expected to be slight to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 1.8 meters.

Temperatures recorded on May 28, 2026, reached a high of 35.3 °C at 2:00 PM and a low of 27.0 °C at 5:30 AM. Relative humidity peaked at 89% at 5:00 AM and dropped to 51% at 2:00 PM.
